Dr. Roger Selbert is one of the country's best-known and most respected trend analysts. He is:
- Principal of the Growth Strategies Group, a trend research consulting firm
- Editor & Publisher of Growth Strategies, a trend letter formerly known as Future Scan
- Resident Scholar at the La Jolla Institute, an independent research organization and think tank.
Roger was corporate futurist at Security Pacific National Bank from 1981 to 1987. He is today an internationally recognized author, speaker, and consultant on business, consumer marketing, and technological trends.
Roger holds Masters and Ph.D degrees in International Relations from the University of Southern California, where he was a Fulbright scholar, Haynes fellow, and European Commission grantee. He earned his undergraduate degree in history from Bowdoin College and also attended the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.
Roger has served on the Conference Board's Marketing Research Council, the Long-Range Planning Committee of the Los Angeles Central City Association, and chaired the Southern California Research Council Report on "Southern California in the 21st Century." He sits on the Board of Directors of the Danish-American Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Roger Selbert is President of Ask Dr. Roger Publications, and Editor & Publisher of Integrated Retailing, a monthly report available to subscribers covering key retailing trends, and featuring the US Consumer Demand Index, a national survey measuring consumer buying intentions.
Roger is also Editor & Publisher of Growth Strategies, a monthly newsletter, covering economic, demographic, business, workforce/workplace and consumer trends. Roger is also a terrific speaker for either in-house or larger audiences, and has consulted to a wide range of businesses, institutions, organizations and corporations.
Just recently, Dr. Selbert was featured prominently on investorshotline.com and was interviewed (twice) on CNBC's "Power Lunch."
