TOPIC DESCRIPTIONS:
The Leader Within...Yes, You!
A fast paced program designed to educate, entertain, and inspire action as never before. Mastering the art of leadership can help you influence more people, enjoy more success, and give to others more of what they want and what you have. At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
• Define their individual leadership style.
• Understand how colleagues interpret their leadership.
• Direct teams with greater efficiency.
• Delegate effectively those things that will enhance the team.
• Discuss leadership demands for the next decade.
• Discover the difference between strong leadership and leadership that is too strong.
Living & Working with (Sometimes) Difficult People
Kevin's most popular seminar teaches "people skills" that encourage and enhance communication. When we live and work with others, there are inevitable times when we come into conflict with one another. The most successful managers and leaders are those who have mastered the art of working with other people. Harnessing person-to-person skills can transcend all others. This skill enhances our ability to have colleagues cooperate effectively with us, and encourages our staff and co-workers to provide the quality of service that reflects our best. Bottom line people skills even help us in our personal life—with spouses, children and partners.
Team Building...Tactics That Work
This seminar focuses on bottom line people skills to enhance strong team support systems. Discover a new, positive strategy for getting the best out of your team. Whether your team members are around the corner or across the country, this workshop will help draw out the best your team has to offer (and draw out the best in your leadership, too), by enhancing skills of communication, cooperation and collaboration. Join us for a program of skill building, information and fun. Kevin will help us understand our co-workers and ourselves better than ever before.
Managing the Generations: Collaboration through Difference
This interactive workshop will help managers lead the new generation of workers . . . the “Gen X” employee. Goals include:
• How to handle the difficult employee
• How to manage employees who are different from my values and corporate culture
• How to understand and motivate the new breed of employee—those who feel entitled to special treatment
Consensus Building to Ye$: Big Money Decisions Done Well
This is not a course in finance. We will look at what it is that makes for a good decision—a good decision-making process, an involved decision, and a consensus. This seminar helps you find "your way" to making the bigger (and sometimes riskier) financial decisions...with more consensus and certainty. Working with others in the planning and spending of money for our institutions is a responsibility that does not have to keep you up nights with anxiety and worry. Using the cooperation of others to help make a decision that is good for all concerned is the mark of a skillful leader.
High Quality (and Profitable) Communication Between Managers and Staff
In this workshop, participants will learn:
• 4 Ways to make contact by leading others by understanding their expectations and desires.
• Understanding the psychology of connection and inclusion
• The dynamics of conflict
• The implications for Team Development b changing Behaviors in an organization for safety, productivity and harmony.
• Non manipulative persuasion through teaching others skills and attitudes.
• Creating a learning community
Profit-Ability: Leading Teams to a Better Bottom Line
Profits successfully gained through the efforts of people come from the leader’s “Profit-Ability.” The good news…these skills work. The better news…These skills can be learned! In these times, teams are more important than ever—especially team members who know how to reach a better bottom line. Leaders know specific tactics and techniques to help their teams accomplish their goals. Join us for an informative, humorous, and interactive session designed to send you off from the conference with new ideas, new enthusiasm, a lighter spirit—and real ideas for increased Profit-Ability—a better bottom line!
Coaching, Counseling and Feedback: Working with Sometimes Remote Teams
Physician Executives today need to do what author Kets de Vries recommends, “Get the best out of the people who possess the necessary information.” One leader cannot “do” it all. Coaching, counseling, providing feedback and working with sometimes remote teams are the newest tasks for effective Physician Executive Leaders. These seemingly simple, but essential and elegant skills are what can make and break a team as well as a leader. Join us for an engaging, skill building workshop that will help you work more effectively with the people who “possess the necessary information.”
"Customerizing" Your Patient Care
Patients are more than customers…they are first and foremost people, people in trouble. The vocation of the healer is to assist the healing process. High quality technical skill combined with a deep sensitivity to the person has always been the hallmark of the caring medical professional. Now more than ever before, a collaborative approach with the patient and with other hospital staff is the norm. These skills help our patients survive the pain, the loneliness and the fear of illness.
