John A. Caslione is founder, President & CEO of GCS Business Capital, Inc. (GCS), a middle-market mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory firm with offices in Chicago (USA), Frankfurt (Germany), Milan, Padua (Italy) and Shanghai (China). John serves as director and advisor for a number of companies in the USA, Europe and Asia, including firms that assist companies of all sizes (including small and medium size enterprises) to globalize their business, with a special focus on China. These companies provide financial investment and operations assistance to European and US firm seeking to develop closer ties to China and Chinese businesses.

John frequently speaks on the new global economy and global business development in many forums including the Institute for Management Developments (IMD) Program for Executive Development (Lausanne, Switzerland); at IAE (Aix-en-Provence, France); at the Dubai Strategy Conference and many others worldwide. John is also a frequent guest lecturer at Northwestern Universitys Kellogg School of Management, where he speaks to business executive in Kelloggs Global Initiatives in Management Program (GIM) on global marketing and business development, including in China and Asia. John is also a member of the adjunct faculty of Southern Methodist Universitys (SMU) Edwin L. Cox School of Businesss Executive Education Department where he teaches marketing strategy.

John has been the featured subject of, Cai Zhi Ren Wu, the leading nationally-broadcast and highly-acclaimed business news program in China featuring global opinion leaders in business, including Bill Gates and Alan Greenspan.

Johns latest book entitled, "Global Manifest Destiny: Growing Your Business in a Borderless Economy (Dearborn Publishing, 2002), provides critical insights and a competencies roadmap for companies to become true global organizations to successfully compete in the new global business environment). Global Manifest Destiny is a featured book recommendation and chosen as one of the top business book selections for six consecutive years (2002 - 2007) by Harvard Business Schools HBS Working Knowledge (HBSWK).

Johns first book, Growing Your Business in Emerging Markets: Promise and Perils (Quorum Publishing, 2001), is considered the leading authoritative book on developing new market entry strategies as well as sales and distribution channel strategies in emerging and developing markets worldwide.

John has two books published in China (2005). Developing Successful Global Sales and Distribution Channel Strategies and Going Global How to Globalize Your Business (Economy & Management Publishing House). These two new books written by Mr. Caslione are specifically written to assist Chinese businesses to enter foreign markets and to globalize their businesses.

John has earned his Bachelors of Science and MBA from the University of New York (Buffalo, NY) and his Doctorate of Law (Juris Doctor) from Illinois Institute of Technologys (IIT) Chicago-IL.
